How:
We formed an association KammaVaariSevaSamithi, Greater Vijayawada about 3 years back now it is with the member ship of around 1300 to serve particularly, KammaVaari community and society at large. After thorough deliberations in various meetings with intellectuals, we thought fit to impart education for Girls. Kamma vari seva samithi ,vidyalaya works towards “education for girls deprived of even good primary school education due to poverty ,disguised unemployment in agriculture”The vidyalaya that started with a mere 25 students at Penamaluru , for imparting quality ðical education for kammavari girls starting from class 7th with hostel accommodation (both stay &boarding facilities).
What:
On 06th June 2017, we have started KammaVaariSevaSamithi Girls hostel at Penamaluru and admitted 25 Girls Students studying 7th Class admitted to Govt ZPH School, Penamaluru. The students are drawn from remote villages of upland area Guntur, Prakasham , Krishna & West Godavari Districts from the poorest of the poor and majority are from agriculture families.From the academic year 1917-18, we are admitting 7th class students (25) every academic year. (Presently we have in all 104 students, four batches in class 7th 8th 9th &10 th class students). All the Girls Students are pursuing their studies starting from 7th Class at ZPH School Penamaluru with our hostel free boarding and accommodation. We are providing hygienic food / accommodation and with high security, we have also provided all necessary facilities (playground with sports equipment, books, dresses, etc..,) to impart good education. The motto behind starting the girl’s hostel from 07th Class, present education scenario where the intelligence is quantified &marks are awarded without giving Value for morals ðics. The physical, cultural and creative education is only on paper.
Results:
We proudly claim that our students in the hostel are allowed to play 2-3 hours every day (outdoor games) and it is not out place to mention here, during the school anniversary they have out played 10th Class Girls students in the school both in cultural activities and sports. Even in the studies they stood within 1-18 ranks in all classes. The main reason for admit the Girls students to the ZPH school Penamaluru, for enhancing the peer group skills both in sports, cultural activities and in education. We are getting good results as expected (our vidyalaya students one each from two eligible batches awarded national means and merit scholarship-NMMS national scholarship, Rs.1000 per month for 48 months).we hope we will get better results in coming years.
Our vidyalaya students are participating at district/state level competitions both academics &extracurricular activities including sports &games. Our student awarded medal in essay writing conducted by TATA MEMORIAL TRUST AT STATE LEVEL COMPETITION DURING SEPTEMBER, 2018(More than lakh students participated in the competition from Govt .schools).
We are happy to inform on 05th March 2018 Mr. KilaruRammohanrao – Agriculture former and philanthropists donated about 960 yards for construction of permanent hostel buildings. We have received donations (fund &materials from philanthropists) for construction of buildings (constructed four floors building with 17500 square feet). We have shifted our campus to new own building from rented building. We have provided space with 3500 square feet for library & computer lab to facilitate on line / web classes . We can provide accommodation for 160-200 students from this year.We have plans to provide education facilities up to intermediate .we are in touch with reputed institutions /intellectuals how to go further on intermediate education/other courses.
We are happy to inform you that very getting excellent support from the community (from all places &all sections ) for providing permanent infra-structure to KSS vidyalaya& to meet recurring expenditure of hostel. We Strongly believe transforming a person with wisdom is creating better world like a creator.
